Meredith, your thoughts really touched my heart and soul. It is easy to be grateful when all is running smoothly; when the day is as smooth as a skating rink. But what I am learning is that even though I may be brokenhearted, disappointed, etc, there is always something to be grateful for. The fact that at the end of the day I can put a note in my Grateful Jar that the Lord Jesus saw me through is a blessing. As you say Meredith, He is strong in my weakness, He draws me ever so close to Him. He never changes – what awesome gifts these are to us. My “Grateful Jar” that I started the first of the year has changed my whole perspective. It is so uplifting knowing my Jesus is right beside me every one of those 525,600 minutes no matter what. That makes me grateful Thank you Sister for reassuring us God is the Lifter of our heads and our Burden-bearer. God bless you.
