Dear Meredith: What a beautiful friendship you had with Dr. Evans. And that friendship is still with you today even though her texts may be gone, how she touched your life will always be alive. You will draw from her friendship every day I’m sure. What a beautiful tribute you wrote about your dear friend, Dr Lois Evans.

You are so right – when we lose loved ones, somehow things they’ve given to us become more precious. Brings me back to when I visited my Mom in Ottawa one summer and she gave me my Christmas present – all wrapped up in pretty paper and told me to open it Christmas morning and not one day before. But my mom passed into Glory that September and I could not bring myself to open that gift until the following February. When I opened it, with emotions flooding over me, it was a beautiful musical clock that I treasure to do this day. It is so precious. And though I can’t chat or visit with her now, how she touched my heart and life will be forever with me. Yes, she was my mom but she was also my friend.
Love you Meredith! God bless you.
